Let's talk about what this vacation was all about. Monday through Friday, the week following finishing a master's project and packing up a place and a whirlwind wedding and 15-hour drive... et cetera. So. This week was about:
four pina coladas, four margaritas, seven glasses of wine, three mai tais, six Miami Vices, three strawberry daiquiris, seven mango daiquiris, one Cabo Loco, one Tucan, thirteen beers, and one (failed) tequila sunrise.
In addition to consuming an average of 8 drinks a day each, we walked up and down the beach, ate lunch then took naps then ate snacks immediately, read books by the pool, walked into San Jose del Cabo and almost died of heat exhaustion, got massages right on the beach...
We also went on a cruise that left out of the other Cabo, Cabo San Lucas, and sailed around the tip of the peninsula. Though we peered at the choppy horizon in search of sea lions and orcas, the real purpose of this tour soon became clear. To the blaring of Shakira and Shania Twain songs, we were never left with empty hands. The drinks service on this little boat was, in short, incredibly efficient.
Unfortuntely, we didn't get to explore the party scene much. There are really two reasons for coming to Cabo – spring break and honeymoon. For the latter, I think we got our money's worth.
